MIA Retail Buildout

The owners of Spiritex Organic Apparel in Asheville recently brought us on to make their new concept a success! Their idea was to create a "Local Organic Print Gallery & Print Shop" for retail and wholesale applications.

Now Open on Lexington Avenue

The Concept

MaryLu, Daniel, & John called upon us to create a museum/art gallery feel, while providing the functionality of a retail space. They had a specific vision utilizing 300 cubes & 300 frames!

Thinking Inside the Box
The versatile stacking cubes are used throughout the store for storage, seating, and merchandising.
The cube benches continue the branded feel while providing a museum-like place to sit and take in the artistic merchandise.
We even created sets of kicks to support the cubes and raise them off of the floor for a cleaner product, and easier maintenance.

Hanging Around
We were also tasked with creating a proprietary hanging system for over 300 pieces of "framed artwork".
Bob came up with a wiring system utilizing steel cable, eyelets, and turnbuckles. Each frame hangs independently and can be moved up or down without the need to turn the walls into Swiss cheese.
The system gives the space a contemporary feel, while being versatile & user friendly for our clients.
The mannequins pop in and out easily for quick merchandising changes.

Our thanks to the MIA team for keeping it local by involving us in this unique project!
